Less sugar.
Unforgettable taste.
I’m Nilam — an NHS nurse and a self‑taught baker. I make celebration cakes from my home kitchen in Basingstoke. Refined buttercream, never sickly, finished by hand for birthdays, christenings and small wonderful occasions.

“Genuinely the best cake I’ve eaten in this country.”
Less sweet, more flavour
A homemade buttercream tuned for the English palate. The opposite of cloying.
Self‑taught, by hand
No production line. Every rosette, drip and flower is piped by me, slowly.
For your celebration
Birthdays, anniversaries, christenings — the cakes you remember years later.
The cakes people keep coming back for.

I’m an NHS nurse — caring for people is my profession. Baking is the craft I do for love. I grew up in Nepal; my family settled in Hampshire because my father served in the British Army. Everything I bake carries that quiet pride.

“Nilam baked our daughter’s christening cake and I genuinely cried. Less sweet, never dry — and stupidly pretty.”
“Four years running for the kids’ birthdays now. The flavours she comes up with — pistachio rose, Earl Grey — keep us coming back.”
“I posted one story and my followers wouldn’t stop asking. The vintage piping is something else.”
